I live in an arid place which makes my fine hair super static if I use conditioner. But I need conditioner or my hair will dry out! This stuff smells lovely and just a little spritz on damp hair will make it feel conditioned and static free. Don't use too much or it will make fine hair go limp! Also tried this when I had wet hair (not dripping) sprayed all over and combed through before I left the house for work, when I got to work, hair was dry and combed one more time VOILA! Hair is super soft, not tangled and shiny! I hope they never stop making this, I love it! I could'nt live without this product! I have very fine hair but a good amount of it. Regular conditioner just weighs it down. I now only use this as a conditioner. It's a great detangler and leaves the hair feeling soft but not too much so. I am also a hair stylist and it is our top selling product at my shop. My hairdresser, Laurie, has a granddaughter who also has fine hair. Laurie prefers Farouk's BIOSILK BIOSILK by Biosilk Silk Therapy Conditioner 34 Oz for her own hair, which is more coarse than mine or her granddaughter's, but notes that Chi Silk Infusion works much better on her granddaughter's fine thin blonde hair much better than Biosilk. Initially, this product appeared not to do anything for my hair; however, with continued use (two-weeks), I have noticed that my hair is softer, smoother, and my ends look a lot better (mended). The only negative is that it does smell like Old Spice Cologne from the 80s. I use this product on my hair when it's wet, and also daily when it's dry. I use it usually before bed (a dime sized amount), then before styling it in the morning. The product does not cause any build up in my hair, which is a plus, and it is very lightweight. If hair serums are too oily or heavy for your use, this may be a great alternative for you. Also if you have TIGI Bedhead in After Party, I would pass on this product since I get the same results using that product. When I flat iron my hair, I typically use RUSK SHINE SPRAY, which is a very similar product. The product description was almost word-for-word the same, which confused me and made my decision about which to purchase difficult. I found the Thermal Flat Iron Spray for a cheaper price, BASED MY DECISION ON PRICE and tried it. I don't recommend it! The Flat Iron Spray, unlike the SHINE SPRAY, is heavier and sticky. It weighed my hair down and made it less managable - not touchably soft. The first time I used it, I sprayed it on my hair generously as I do with the Shine Spray -- you definately need to use the Flat Iron Spray sparingly. I recently purchased the Rusk flat iron spray atva great price I was looking for a protectant and was thinking about going with the Sebastian trilliant but stumbled upon this. I read review and decided to give it a try. First off I am African american with thick coarse hair chemically colored. After blow drying my hair using Sebastian taming elixir I started from the back of my hair and parted thin pieces and sprayed each individual piece sparingly and then flat ironed from the root down pulling the ends of my hair as I flat ironed going down very slowly and my hair came out perfect shinny bouncy and very healthy looking.
